My prediction as of this date
Obama will be the nominee.

For me, that's not ideal, because I have some serious reservations about Obama. But that is what I see happening for a number of reasons.

A week ago I couldn't have made this prediction. But Hillary is in bigger trouble than anybody expected and I don't think she's going to regain enough momentum despite her powerful "machine." Edwards will do better than the MSM imagines, but not well enough to get the nod. Obama is picking up major steam and there are a lot of factors that will work in his favor from here on out.

My avatar states who I would like to see in the White House. I'm also a big fan of Edwards. But what we want is often not what we get. And to add another prediction - the GE will be very close. The Repukes won't be pushovers, wishful thinking won't get us through, and Obama isn't as strong a candidate as some people might imagine.

Having said all that, we CAN win. And here's hoping we do. :)

1. may I offer my prediction?
Obama will have a fantastic January -- certainly through the 19th -- and Hillary will have a fantastic February making what the media will call a "comeback" although, in the end, it's just the fluidity of politics.

What will be surprising is that the later Primary States will end up having more importance than expected and the Nominee won't be really clear until late Spring/early Summer ... and, at the end of the day, I predict it'll be Hillary with the most delegates becoming the Nominee and taking the Oath of Office in January 2009.

2. Mine: Obama will have a great month, Hillary will continue sliding downwards and
in the end Edwards will have the nomination.

3. The large Hillary backers are going to backpedal if she doesn't turn this around.
