Severe weather in Central Plains, Upper Midwest
Heads up for those in Missouri, Illinois, and even Southern Wisconsin and possibly Arkansas later today for severe weather.

First severe weather system of the year.

Tornado watches issued.

Current tornado warnings in Missouri, Illinois, and Wisconsin.

Take the warnings seriously.

Warm weather in winter meant trouble. But it was rare back then.

5. It's 65 degrees here today. I think we have a severe thunderstorm watch and flood warnings today.
At least that's what I heard this morning. I haven't heard about any tornadoes though. Maybe I should turn on a local station.:) I'm in the middle of that red area on the map.:scared:

Just checked my local ABC station and there's a tornado WARNING for McHenry County, Illinois...if any DUers live there, take cover!

7. odd weather, indeed
It's 65 degrees in Kansas City today. I have the house open and it's actually humid.

I did take advantage of our tornado weather yesterday to smoke a brisket, though.

15. If your goal was to offend
people with the picture you have in your sigline you were successful.

As a veteran of 7 years in the Marine Corps your mutilation of a symbol of honor and bravery of Marines on Iwo Jima is disgusting. I understand making a statement, I have no problem with making a statement, but, you went over the line here. I am sure there is some other image you can use to get the same message across without offending and dishonoring those that have served.

"The Marine Corps War Memorial stands as a symbol of this grateful Nation's esteem for the honored dead of the U.S. Marine Corps. While the statue depicts one of the most famous incidents of World War II, the memorial is dedicated to all Marines who have given their lives in the defense of the United States since 1775."

16. Here's what offends *me*....
...when our military is used to prop up multinational corporations with their blood and their sacrifice. Doesn't that offend you?

And my father served for many years as an Air Force officer, and the last thing I would do is dishonor those who serve. I honor them by insisting that they sacrifice for something more than Exxon/Mobile.

Images are also a National Monument honoring Marines. I take ANYTHING directed towards Marines as a personal insult, I earned the right to be this way with my own blood, sweat, and literally tears during 3 months of hell in Parris Island South Carolina and 7 years of honorable service afterwards.

To allow posters to post pictures that you do not like.

I guess they did not tell you what America is all about in boot camp.

Maybe you should re-read the bill of rights.

I also know that some people push it to the absolute limit, but hey thats ok. I will just use the ignore function. That way I wont see the picture. Just because somebody has the right to post material that is offensive to me doesnt mean that I have to view it.

I just get REAL touch about anything disrespectful towards the Marine Corps, just ask my wife LOL

I am usually pretty laid back UNLESS it has something to do with the Marine Corps. I have a USMC Jacket, trailer hitch cover, wallpaper for my desktop at work, throw blanket, throw pillow, you get the idea LOL.

31. We're under a tornado watch.
I was at the grocery store, and some moran comes running in yelling "There's a tornado warning! There's a tornado warning!" I ignored him, because this town is really good at hitting the sirens when the NWS issues a warning. No sirens--no warning. Others were panicking, trying to figure out where to go. I paid for my groceries, and headed to the car. The radio said the severe thunderstorm warning had just expired. I wish people would get their info right before causing a panic.
