So Hillary cried at the job interview today
WOW!!

Is this what it has come down to, how low can you go, this is what Hillarys' cry says to me

1) She is weak and can allow pressure to get to her, imagine having to deal with difficult dictators, is she gonna be crying at that crucial moment

2) She is really a stone cold woman that would do anything to hold on to power

3) I certainly can't trust her as a nominee for the democrats, the rethugs will run her to the ground
and is that the type of response we should be looking forward to?

and finally

4) She is so inappropriate that she cannot be trusted, and there is also a case for demented personality.

What say ye to this eh!!

11. I'm not sure with this one.
First of all, I feel bad for her right now. But, this was not a good moment for her. She got emotional which is fine. But, during her emotional moment she attacked Obama. That made me question if she was being genuine or is she knew this was her chance to have an attack on Obama go viral without her seeming negative.

27. I guessed before I checked
I said to myself, "self, this poster has to be a guy - cuz too many women recognize these themes per the ways that in many workplaces womens' work are demeaned in a way that the same actions are not used against men." And so I checked and bingo - a dude wrote it. No surprise there. The sad thing is that I am also guessing that you will not understand the gist of what I am saying which is exactly why this subtle form of demeaning/denegrating women in the workplace in a way that one doesn't denegrate men for the same thing, is perpetuated.

And I guess one more thing, that you are relatively young. Mostly guessing that you were of awareness age (teens) during any part of the womens' liberation movement or the push for the ERA amendment or you would have had exposure to the reason why themes behind much of what you are writing is so demeaning to women far behind Hillary Clinton. Many of us have experienced when our work product is demeaned, even when someone else exhibits the same behavior and instead gets praise - or worse takes credit for our work and while we are demeaned they are elevated.

I know I was right on the first guess (male) - but not sure yet about the others two guesses: 1) that you are young (which could explain not predicting how inflamatory this post is) and2) that you can not "get" or "hear" the gist of what I am saying per why some women, even those not supporting Clinton's candidacy would be offended by this.

I would have had sympathy if she had not moved on and attack her opponents, sooo what does that tells you, she was using the moment to strike gold, just that it has backfire on her and now y'all are out to defend her in the name of a woman understanding....give me a break already.

If I had gone to an interview and cried I definitely would not get the job, thats for sure, even the slight show of emotion would be interpreted as weakness.

to quote you: "The truly sad thing is half these guys don't even realize the crap they are spewing is offensive and sexist." And the sad thing is that often they do not tend to care. They do not want to know why their words are percieved that way. If they want to engage it is in the stab and thrust flame way to "prove they are right" (kinda reproving the impression in the first place.) They don't want nor feel that they need to grow to understand women's point of view (again reprovin the impression) as theirs is so righteous that even if a slew of women (or even forbid most women) read their words differently it wouldn't matter. You know, the guys view always prevails and is superior to a female's view.

24. What about all the vitriol you decried just a couple of hours ago?
how does this help us come together after a candidate is determined? This not only is antagonistic to Clinton supporters (she is not my top choice but I could live wth her over ANY of the repubican candidates), but it is also highly offensive to some females who recognize this kind of rhetoric used to demean that is used on gender lines throughout working america.

Great way to undermind your own Love, Love, Love message.

35. Read what I wrote on your other thread.
I don't think you intended it - but you gave an echo to many women's professional experience. Sexism, as much as we don't want to talk about it, is alive in career america. The logic you used in that thread - was not different than what many of us have experienced. It is not univesral, but too common. But given your responses on both threads, I detect that trying to discuss it would be pointless. I don't think you care if you offended - not just Hillary Clinton supporters (of which I am not) but a whole lot of professional women. Thus I don't know that conversation is really needed.

I will not call you a sexist - I don't know you I can not say that. But the logic and tactics of demeaning in that thread a logic that is rarely applied equaly to males as it is to females is the same type of logic that is used against women in the workplace across America. In that sense it can be read as a sexist post. But I am guessing that you are under 35 and were not old enough to remember either the womens liberation movement, nor the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) push. If you had, than you should be very familar with why the logic used in that thread would be denegrating and offensive to many women. If you are younger I would give you a small pass - IF you were willing to listen and learn from women as to why some would find it reminiscent of gender-based denegration (and worse.)

But I don't get the idea that you have any interesting in understanding where others are coming from.

30. Yes the OP is typically sexist crap
So Clinton is pretty damned if she does, damned if she doesn't. If she shows emotion, she's weak. If she doesn't, she's cold.

This is yet another example of the sexism that still exists in this country. And, secondarily, how twisted we are emotionally in this country. Men aren't allowed to cry because it isn't "manly". Edmund Muskie is widely assumed to have lost because of it. Women are allowed (even expected- God help you if you don't act like a "normal" woman- you must be a cold-hearted bitch) to cry but they better not do it on the job or they will lose promotions or not look "authoritative".

as a woman, <you are a woman right>, you went for an interview and got emotional, did you think in your hearts of hearts you would have got the job?

Secondly, she lost me when she attacked JE and BO with her next sentence, if she is soo emotionally tired why not explained why you tired and caught up, why turned the moment into an attack, you are looking for sympathy, and you are looking to use that moment to your advantage...right, but I guess we can agree to disagree on this because no matter what I say, you're going to hold your view and mine is irrelevant....now thats double standard.

so the poster will have to ponder what was written, that thanks to you was clearly understood by another poster (woman). He can either bother to try to understand why the response and grow (doesn't have to change his perception, but at least try to understand those with a different one -where they are coming from - or stick to the vitriol/righteousness. Which would be my guess (the latter) in which case not worth the effort of a one-directional (his) conversation.

32. I would have no problem with her emotional moment, except
that it seemed insincere and phony. That is my only complaint. I actually like it when a person drops their facade and spontaneously reveals personal information. It's honest and refreshing. I don't mind eyes welling up and a tear or two falling.

If she had revealed something truly personal for herself, and not just mimicked John Edwards message, it would have come across much better.

Key point: must be authentic to pull this off.

compared to her stances on issues such as Iraq or Iran. Things she has said on certain issues turned me off long ago. Not only that but the amount of money she has taken from corporate America..... 63. Yes, and it shows me that 3 of your points are NOT accurate, and that
Obama fails to vote often, criticizes Hillary for voting one way (when he does not show up)...but turns out that he has "written" an IDENTICAL bill previously....Hmm
No wonder everyone likes 0bama....he has taken every position....LOL that some fall for his schtick.
