I think Hillary totally blew it with the "Al Queda's Watching" stuff
That thing about 'Al Queda's watching our elections...' that's awfully hard to forgive. Right out of the GOP 2004 playbook.

Aren't we all pretty sick of GOP trying to SCARE people into voting for them? It's like a form of terrorism if you ask me, I thought it when GWB/Cheney did it and I think so when she does it.

Besides that "live on your knees" stuff goes over better with the GOP, they're very easily scared.

3. Shoot, I was defending her big "crying" thing all day then she does THAT!
I think the 1 second of emotion than slipped out is so much ado about nothing...but then I saw her going, "our enemies watch our elections more than most US citizens" or something to that effect, blech! I was like....I'm not defending you anymore if you talk down to me like that, that was my feeling.

2. I could care less if Al Qaeda is watching us, and if they are...

I am more worried about another hurricane hitting New Orleans.

5. Yes and also there is no such thing as "safety"
There have always been "terrorists" just like there's always been criminals. Operation Piss Off The Planet and Drain The Treasury can in no way bring about this mythical safety! Next she'll be saying we have to fight them there so we don't have to fight them here. She'll have better luck with that kind of shit on the other side...

I'm sick of hearing about the damn bogeyman they have on their leash. Weak leaders require their supporters to be fearful.

28. Our serious problems are the fearmongering and destruction of the nation from within.
And Hillary already shows a tendency to the former, if not the latter.

I want to hear about what we are doing to get them. We've had more than enough fear mongering from Bush.

14. Hillary is self-destructing.
I'm sorry to see it happen, but that's what's happening. She might be ahead in the polls but the more desperate she acts, the worse things are going to get. Its like someone who has been told the relationship is over but they're still hanging on, saying "I'll change, just tell me what you want. I'll do anything."

17. No, the moment she blew it was when she said that LBJ was responsible
for civil rights changes in this country, not Martin Luther King and other civil rights activists in the 60's. She's doing spin on this today, claiming instead that Obama has no RIGHT to compare himself to MLK but yesterday in an interview she said that "talk" never got anything done, that political action did and that's why LBJ was the person most responsible for the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Bullshit. She lost me right then and there. I will never vote for this woman even if she does pull off a miracle and ends up the nominee. She's shown her true colors in the last 48 hours and it ain't pretty.

18. Hillary's circling the drain.
Really sad to see, but she brought it all on herself with a catastrophic miscalculation that the Left would have nowhere to go but with her.

As I said yesterday, that ruffling sound is the pigeons coming home to roost.

23. The whole world is watching, not just al Qaeda. al Qaeda wants a
warmongering authoritarian US government. It serves their purposes, just as al Qaeda served bush's purposes. A president who will unite the world behind us is al Qaeda's biggest nightmare.
So sure, they are watching.

26. Hot - house flowers
Clinton and other DC Dems like her have been carefully cultivated in the DC bubble to believe its ok to say these kinds of things, to be out of touch with what voters really think and believe.

Get them out in the real world on the campaign trail and they wilt. Obama has had a lot of protection so far from the news media, but it will also catch up with him eventually. He's helped by the fact that he never really converses with or takes questions from voters on the campaign trail. Clever trick to keep from sounding out of touch.
