Does anyone credit Oprah with this "surge"? Or is it just coincidence? He certainly isn't saying anything different than he did six months ago..Or is it a Clinton meltdown?

1. I don't think you can attribute it to any one event, or even a handful of events...
but I doubt Oprah has anything to do with it.

2. I despise Oprah and the kitsch she peddles...so for me it had ZERO impact...
...for the weak-minded and celebrity-obsessed probably moreso...

Like when there's a spiderman movie or toy thing.

4. Listen to one of Obama's speeches-that's what's getting people
out in droves.

5. not much
it seems to be sparking off primary voters and others today as they continue through the day and discuss the NH field. In political terms, Oprah was ages ago.

6. It's the media surge. Follow the money.
The media, once again, wants to elect our next President and people are falling in lock step, just like good little sheeple.

First, the media wanted Hillary, but they apparently have now decided that either Hillary or Barack will do their bidding just fine, so that's where the media is concentrating.

Which makes me even more certain they are not the best candidates for President. If the self-serving, profit-centered corporate owned media is for something, it's got to be bad for the American people. Refer to the last 7 years of media coverage for verification.

If you want change, Edwards is your man.

7. Not much -- but it's coming
African American celebrities seem to be waking up to the possibility of a black president and will try to get the African American community on board.

So far, Iowa and New Hampshire were the result of white folks' support. Black Americans were probably predominantly Hillary supporters up to Iowa.

You can expect a huge swing toward Obama in the African American community, championed by people like Oprah, now that he is "feasible."

8. I think she did rove told her to make him into an American Idol
type because that's what gets the youngest jumping and dancing. He wanted to set up a phone in vote, but the federal government said they had to draw a line on that. Because their people knew how to JAM PHONE LINES.

11. I Actually Think it Was a Critical Endorsement
Just like Chuck Norris has been for Huckabee.

Forget editorials and labor unions. These are the new endoresements that count, for better or worse.
