BigDog,...Obama biggest "fairytale" you have ever seen!
Edited on Tue Jan-08-08 12:54 PM by gaiilonfong
NOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooo

The biggest fairytale is you BigDog........

Like you being a democrat when you have been more Repub-lite

The fairytale is your rehabilitation of Poppy Bush by dragging him around pretending he is helping you raise money! But than he crapped all over you
BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHHAAHHA

The fairytale that you DIDN'T support the Iraq war!

----------------------------------------
The biggest fairytale, is the world..... thinking the Clinton campaign isn't using
under the surface racism and Ghouliani 911 scare tactics.

BILL CLINTON YOU ARE A DISGRACE, AN EMBARRASSMENT, THIS IS WORSE THAN
I DID NOT HAVE SEX WITH THAT WOMAN!

5. Dear Bill, Quit while you're ahead in public affection
The 90s were pretty good for a lot of people (not perfect) and we attribute a lot of that to you.

Your wife's presidential aspirations are doomed. I understand you stumping for her, but will not understand you stooping for her.

Continue on the road but try to take the high road. Sigh quietly as this thing dies. Don't embarass yourself or Hillary.

We'll understand.

But he can take the knife to people in his own party, usually those to the left of he and Hillary.

Oh wait, maybe I can.

6. I believe
that Bill Clinton is no longer the nations strongest political tool, we are seeing the end of that. He has made some bad blunders that have only hurt his wife.

He appears desperate at this point, something we are not used to seeing from the 'Big Dog'

...and if you don't see Hillary for a few hours, you should
wonder if she isn't screeching through the New Hampshire countryside
in a stretch limousine, looking for 101 spotted puppies to sew into
a full-length fur coat--before the polls close.

26. Thanks. Seeing the context is very helpful. OP was unfair to Bill.
I'm no Hillary fan, and Bill is of course not very objective in his comments, but the "fairytale" comment is clearly taken out of context by the OP.

Maybe I'm just in information overload (quite possible, I'm multitasking furiously) but I didn't see how that was taken out of context.

41. I have several problems with the OP.
First, he rails against Bill without providing a link to what Bill was saying. I don't appreciate that, because it means someone needs to just accept what the OP is saying or do some research.

Second, the Op would have you think that Bill was calling Obama a "fairytale" when in fact Bill was describing the surge that Obama is riding as a fairytale.. he's more critical of the MSM than he is of Obama.

(of course, the MSM is at least as guilty of giving Hillary a pass on her bullshit explanations for her IWR vote)

There is just too much of this crap going on here in DU. I like to call people like the OP on this kind of stuff.... maybe it will do some good.

42. Understood
I appreciate your explanation. I see what you're saying, however, I still think it's a little bit of "sour grapes" on Bill's part to characterize it in those terms. I also believe it may be a sign of desperation to put it in those terms.

However, I do completely agree that links are very welcome when people are being quoted, if at all possible. These are turbulent times around here that's for sure. I was a lurker back in 2004 and it was very heated during the primaries as well but things gradually cooled off a tad.

44. Thanks, I agree on Bill's sour grapes.
I was around DU in 2004 as well and it did not seem nearly as rabid then as it is now. But maybe it's just me. Or maybe it's that Hillary is really as polarizing as some say.

24. What the hell does Bill Clinton know about anything?
Why should we listen to him?

Has he ever done anything successfully?

Has he ever shown ANY political ability whatsoever?

Who knows better how to assess a candidate's true abilities -- Clinton, or our friends in the MSM?

Who cares more about the future of the Democratic Party -- Bill Clinton or Andrew Sullivan?

Who wants to beat those Bush bastards and take revenge for the witch hunts of the 90s -- Bill Clinton or Chris Matthews?

Experience, ability, toughness, smarts -- what are those things compared to....

(flowers) (butterflies) CHANGE!! (lollipops) (bunny rabbits)?

30. Bill it's not too late to switch your endorsement for the primarys!
I respect President Clinton for a lot of things, but once he left office that respect slowly but surely dwindled. The Clinton's have gotten as bad as the Bush dynasty expecting things to be handed to them rather than earned and abandoning the very people that helped place them in the positions that they hold or held.

They thought they had this thing in the bag. They thought that corporate money and political power was going to put them where they wanted. Sorry, things have changed.

32. It's rather disturbing, isn't it?
Bill can't say enough good things about Poppy and Jr., so much so that he started drifting further to the right than he already was. Now, he and Hillary thought that the deal was done, that they had the nomination, and they were on their way to White House to start another Bush-esque political dynasty. Glad to see reality it proving to be a cruel mistress.
