CNN reporting so many republicans are turning out that
they need to send more ballots to the polls. Wonder why so many republicans are turning out. Who are they wanting to vote for. McCain or Romney to offset Huckabee.

They said there are so many big cars that you can't get near the polls. And that the older people are outnumbering everybody....Gee what a hodgepodge. The press can't get it right no matter how they try.

How the fuck do they know that???

From the little I've read so far, there's a huge turnout of VOTERS of all stripes.

Sheesh. The media just can't stop spinning things, can they? :eyes:

But the Dem Gov did say out of the 150,000 expected Indies, they predict 90% to vote in the Democratic Primary.

14. According to ABC, they're running out of Dem ballots
"Scanlan said that the Secretary of State's office is sending additional ballots to Portsmouth and Keene (traditionally Democratic strongholds), Hudson (Republican leaning with significant numbers of independents) and Pelham (large number of independents).

According to Scanlan, the ballot strain seems to be on Democratic ballots, which suggests that the undeclared voters are breaking for the Democratic primary. New Hampshire Secretary of State William Gardner predicted that 90,000 undeclared voters would vote in the Democratic primary compared to 60,000 voting in the Republican primary."

17. What's wrong with republicans voting dem?
Isn't that what we want? For people to wake up and join the cause?

I was raised in a fundy house - I *thought* I was republican, I spouted the same crap that my parents spouted around me, until one day I woke up and saw the light. I'm not ashamed that I was once republican - because it means that I could see within myself what was wrong, and that I needed to change. That what I was told and led to believe my entire life was false - that I could see through the crap and find a way out. That's what some of these people are doing today - right now, while you make crappy comments about it.

There's a new awakening happening right now - in young, old and inbetween. We can either embrace it, and see change for what it is - a good thing in support of our Dem values. Or we can reject it, and drive them right back to the terror speaking, neo-con hasbeens that have driven our country in to the ground.

20. Many of them will be voting "against" a Dem candidate
its no secret many GOP'ers have been talking about voting for Clinton or Obama in the primary because it will be easier for the GOP to defeat them. Its an old practice used in primaries, mostly by the GOP.

22. Yep - this is just one way they manipulate the system.
If their corporate owned media can't guarantee the candidate they want on the Dem side, they'll just say they're Dems and go vote to make sure they get the one they want.

Manipulation - censorship - propaganda. Dirty GOP tricks. They will stop at nothing to get what they want. Does anyone really believe KKKarl Rove is just sitting at home relaxing?

28. Oh yes, I'm sure that the republicans have manged to secretly
Turn out around 15% of the voting population JUST to vote Dem. Okay.

I'm sure this is occuring to some extent, but not enough to make the wave that's being made. Look at the republican message right now, seriously. Stay in Iraq, the Economy is great, Terror, Terror, Oil prices are all about supply and demand.

To some extent, that works - but only so far.

19. MSNBC is reporting that it's the Democratic ballots that they need
The New Hampshire Secretary of State's office is in the process of locating extra ballots to ship to towns that have expressed concern that supplies are running low. The concern is primarily on the Democratic side, officials say.

"The towns that are calling now are experiencing heavy turnout, and see their piles of ballots starting to drop at a rate faster than they're comfortable with," said Deputy Secretary of State Dave Scanlan. "They're also stating to us that it's the Democratic ballots that have them more concerned than the Republican ballots."

==

At the polling location in Londonderry, more than 50 people were waiting outside for the doors to open at 7 am. Robert Saur, moderator pro-tem for the town, said he was expecting 70 percent turnout of the nearly 15,000 registered voters. "We're trying to keep everyone moving through here," he said.

Londonderry leans slightly Republican, with 5,641 registered Republicans and 3,620 registered Democrats. There are 6,105 registered undeclared voters who can vote in either primary. Early this morning, it was the blue, Democratic ballots that appeared to be most common.

24. My brother is one of those socially liberal but
fiscal conservatives who almost always votes Republican. Yet he likes Obama.

I don't know if he will actaully vote for Obama.

I don't vote till Feb 5 so I have been waiting to make a final decision myself.

Right now Obama is riding high, but I hope he is preparing for the inevitable swift boating of any Dem candidate that will come in the general election.

30. NH trends GOP. Maybe those old people got tired of all
the young people out of their mind with emotion (and not knowing one
darn issue for which a candidate stands) so they decided we got to get
back in charge here. This thing is flat out of control. Joking !
I have a weird sense humor. See the funny side of things.

35. "In particular, Democratic ballots are in short supply..."
Record voter turn out for the New Hampshire Primary is having an unexpected and bad consequence: some polling places are running low on ballots. In particular, Democratic ballots are in short supply.
