Fallout from Walter Reed Scandal
Edited on Wed Feb-21-07 08:18 PM by Monkeyman
Editorials abound and now after Tony Snowjob he knew he didn't know a Red Faced White House has ordered an investigation. But this is not over. The public is demanding for all Hospitals to be look at. The fallout is from everyday people. But we have not heard a word from the Replugs in Congress or the Senate.

There are three articles on http://www.vawatchdog.org second story down.

1. Why am I not surprised
at the large volume of silence from the repukes? If they would actually do something for us veterans, I would probably have a heart attack from the shock.

3. And yet, how many veterans are there out there
who would STILL vote only for Repukes, because Dems are supposedly weak on defense?

5. That's why they're doing nothing.
They wouldn't want to harm you.

2. Anyone from NW Arkansas
Our conman, John Boozman (R of course) has been on the Veteran's Affairs Committee since he's been a conman--I believe he's just started his fourth term. Anyway, I hope all of you write him and give him h*ll for the deplorable conditions at the hospitals, because, imho, he is responsible for neglecting them. We need to do the same to any conman who have been on that committee for a long time.

4. Please don't take this the wrong way, but did Murtha know this before?
I would think that some veteran would have told him that our wounded troops were being housed on King Kong Island.

6. Oh, good. Someone finally saw the incongruity in Bush sending us
into perpetual war and the dismal manner we treat our veterans. It took long enough.

7. Monkeyman, Tammy Duckworth mentioned the deplorable conditions for injured vets every debate
she brought it up over and over during the campaign. Of course, nobody ever reported on THAT position. There were people like you and her who have been saying this for a looooonng time now.

I am so glad she is head of Ill Veterans Affairs now. I am sure she's rolling her eyes at the sudden notoriety of one of her favorite causes (as are you) but I am just really glad it's finally getting some attention.

Kudos to you since I KNOW you were way out ahead of this curve.....

8. So Am I
she made a move already to sign up low income vets. She also wants Nicholson to keep his promise of more case workers at the VA. She is great.

9. I'm really encouraged to hear your positive report of Tammy.
Since she's no longer a candidate it's hard to get news of her performance. I was sure she'd step up to the plate for Illinois vets but it's good news to hear facts.
