The vote totals change but percentages don't.

Wonder if someone just programmed the percentages and wrote software to have the count stay close to it?

1. But all the totals change and by a small amount each time
That's why. Hillary's go up a bit, but so do Obama's.

4. It's simple math.

(I'm getting my numbers here)
So far, there are about 56 thousand votes for Dem candidates. 1% of 56,000 is 560. As more precincts report in and their numbers are added, the number of votes to make a 1% difference increases.

With 20% of precincts reporting in, and about 56,000 votes, the predicted total number of votes could be extrapolated to about 280,000 votes. A 1% difference would be 2,800 votes. As the total number of votes increases, it becomes increasingly difficult to move 1%.

Obama changed to 35% while I was posting this.

On edit: Obama's now at 34%. Looks like some Clinton-heavy precincts just reported.
