Honored SW Missouri teacher removed from class (used expletives to chastise bullies)

REEDS SPRING, Mo. (AP) -- Supporters are rallying around a former Teacher of the Year who reportedly was suspended with pay for using expletives when reprimanding two students for bullying.

The Reeds Springs school district in southwest Missouri plans to schedule a hearing for high school science teacher Mike Collins, who was honored for his teaching by Wal-Mart in 2001.

More than 1,000 people have signed an online petition of support for Collins.

Laura Miller, a 1999 Reeds Spring graduate, set up the Web site, which contends Collins used the F-word while defending two mentally disabled students from bullying.

the world was going to end! Yeah, you don't want teachers cussing all of the time, but come on . . . .

Students thought all of the fuss was hilarious.

And coaches use the f-word all of the time.

Yep, we can go to the other side of the world and kill 10s of thousands of innocent people and run ourselves and future generations upon generations to come into financial slavery and call it patriotism, but DON'T say fuck.
