Stephanopolous seemed to imply this morning..
that Hillary was distancing herself from Bill last night, she brought him and Chelsea up to the stage very briefly, then they made a quick exit. She was seen surrounded by young volunteers as opposed to the power players she surrounded herself with in Iowa (Albright, Wes Clark, etc.)

He seemed to think this was part of a new strategy for her, to shake off the past.

2. too late
BigDog embarrassed himself, and his under the surface racism with the "fairytale" comment has turned off progressive Dems of color.
I spoke to so many of my friends of color and they told me, they "understood" what BigDog was really saying.

Hillary is toast IF she gets the nom.
They will NOT vote for her in the general, and without indy's and people of color, the ReTHUGS win..

Thanks NH and Hillary supporters.

3. You are saying that people of color won't vote for Hillary
in the general. I think you are wrong.

I am not a person of color, but I will vote for any Dem nominee over any Repub nominee. I think most Dems of all colors will do the same.

5. that's a little over the top
there was no racism in big dog's comment. don't create something that's just not there.

additionally, if hillary wins the nomination, you will see all democrats come together, including leaders in the african american community, to endorse her and charge up the voters. even barack obama will support her if she is the eventual nominee. whichever candidate wins will get all this support.

12. nah....after the primaries are over, if hillary is the nominee.....
....all this anti-hillary nonsense will disappear and dems will unite and support her. we'll do it for whomever is the nominee.

hillary has always had huge support from the african american community. i don't see that disappearing. there was no racism in big dog's comment, and no amount of pretending there's racism there will make it appear.

if you want to see real racism, look to the republican party. plenty of it over there.

10. Just a small anecdote that I picked up this a.m..
I happened to hear two black women walking behind me, about mid-30's early 40's talking about the results from last night, and they both agreed that they like Bill, but not Hillary...the specific comment was, I really like Bill, but Hillary's not Bill...

6. Speculate Speculate Speculate
It's what makes a talking head "relevent". It doesn't have to be based on fact or have any real merit, but as long as he says it, that's all that matters.

Last night's win was Hillary's and the corporate media got it wrong. Their "Hillary is dead" meme backfired as it energized her supporters and probably cut down on the independent and cross over vote that helped Obama in Iowa. I didn't hear a damn poll that mentioned the undecideds or how solid the support was...we didn't get solid sample numbers and the rush to back up the narratives with the polls drove this entire media mess.

Hillary's damned no matter what she does. If she shows emotion, she's either weak or calculated...if she's strong, then she's an "uppity woman" or other such verbage. Every move is scrutinized and anal-ized...it's been a corporate media obsession as every time they think the Clintons are down, they come up and bite them in the ass.

7. Don't sell "the big dog" cheap. He did his job by attracting all the negative
press to himself. These folks are smart. They know full well what they are doing. And Hillary will do well to jump immediately on the media pundits who are characterizing Obama and her as "formidable foes." The message from the Clinton camp should be that she is not a "foe" against any other Dem. She is a "candidate" and "competitor" who feels that she is the best for the nation among other really great "candidates." The framing and re-framing of the issues and the Dem candidates by the media is the greatest threat to our taking back the WH. It's time for the slimy, Chris Matthews-Rush Limbaugh personal smearing to be called before the public. Our fight is not against each other as much as it is against the neocon, owned, and controlled media and their pundits. Chris knows full well that he would be apoplectic if Obama won the Presidency. The media has been using Obama as a wedge between the people and Edwards and Clinton, both of whom would be viable nominees. Chris knows that Obama can never be elected President at this time. And yes, it is about race as well all deep down inside know.

8. I tend to think that if he's correct in his observations..
which knowing the Clintons as well as he does, he probably is, this was all very calculated. I'm not slamming the Clintons per se, they are both brilliant politicians. They know exactly what they're doing. There will be no "sudden shift" of strategy for them. They've got layers of contingencies built in, and they read the voting public very well. Just my two cents, and that's about what it's worth.

9. Well, the talking heads DID refer to Bill, Wes Clark, Madeline Albright and Hill as "A wax museum."
Maybe that's why.

He would not only ride in the backseat - he'd ride in the trunk - if it means getting to stroll back into the Oval anytime he feels like it.
