MSNBC reported that by margin of two to one ---- 37% to 19%, voters said they believed Edwards cared more about people like them than Obama.

So then why in the fuck did thirty six percent of you cast your vote for Obama

What happened between the time that message left your brain until it reached your fingers? That's not a very long time. And God knows, the last person you would ever want as president is someone who cared about YOU !!

4. Compassion is just ONE quality.

Hell, Kucinich "cares" more than anyone, but he doesn't have any viable solutions. He isn't a team player. He's unelectable.

The voters went to the store to buy meat, compassion, electability, experience, current political profile, buzz, media, and a host of other things on that shopping list. They didn't just throw a "hoe" (and you really might have chosen another example, so no one would mistake your meaning for the popular vernacular of "ho" as a sexist slur, there--ANYTHING else would have been a better choice) in the shopping cart.

But back to Edwards--I think he suffered from an inability to get his message out, and he also has to deal with vestigal GOP bullshit from 04. There are lots of people who would ascribe the term "ambulance chaser" to him, thanks to the hard work of the Rovian Republicans.

His later ads were better, but his earlier ads stunk up the room. They just didn't resonate, and he seemed uncomfortable in his own skin. Plus, he put way too much into IA and not enough into NH--IMO. THAT's why he lost.

5. I didn't see that at all.

Although I didn't see any ads you're talking about, he was the only one who I saw that got many people misty eyed at his campaign stops. His message resonated but people voted against their own interest. Why, is just beyond bewildering to me.
