4. How HARD could it be to put ballots into NINE stacks
Edited on Wed Jan-09-08 06:52 PM by SoCalDem
and then just COUNT THE DAMNED THINGS..

a chalkboard/dry-erase board to keep a running total, and then add the totals up to see if they match the total signed in voters..

That's ALL that's needed..

a 5th grader could do it :)

Surely we could find the money SOMEWHERE to hire some math teachers to come in and audit the votes ..:eyes:

we rely entirely too much on computers..

one caveat:.. once the totals are verified at each precinct, the totals ALL THREE should be uploaded to a public website so we can all review them

1. total registered
2. total signed in and recieving ballots
3. the count per candidate

2. yup
Definitely keep kucinich off that ballot, it will definitely make for a better election.

Seriously though, you are right about pen and paper. I prefer a record that is harder to forge than a delete button.

16. It happens...
I guess the guy is sort of short. I expect he will stay in a bit longer...

I wish that all of the candidates got the lead up and intro that Hillary did, it would be a totally different election if the media spent 2 years talking about the Kucinich run on the white house.

10. Need to put in a write-in line as well...
... or someone will claim it as invalid. And of course instructions should be clear on how to mark it, so we don't get another "Donna Frye" outcome!

11. Instructions should be posted inside each voting booth
and yes, write ins could be easily added..

even with the addition, the whole thing would fit on a 5x7 index card.. easy to scan or store for future reference..

12. They count all the money every day
You would think they could count a few votes once every two years or so.

14. Why can`t everyone vote the same day in the primaries?
I guess that would stop the MSM from changing the outcome

15. I propose regional primaries a month apart..
Edited on Wed Jan-09-08 07:24 PM by SoCalDem
draw numbers for regional order..

each region has metro/rural/large media and easy travel access..

start in January and end in June..

or you could use time zones..
