So I got a letter from the Office of Personnel Management

My SO's employer was awarded a grant from the Dept. of Education almost two years ago. Part of the contract, DoEd required all contract employees to go through background check and get fingerprinted. In that process you fill out where you lived for the last 10 years and list a party that can vouch that you lived at those locales. So she put me down as a the party to vouch for her primary residence. Just yesterday I received the form from OPM to detail my relationship with her and state that she did live at the address listed.

This is all standard procedure but the only problem is, the contract has already been completed and finished for almost a year. I should have received these forms a year ago. It strikes me that this kind of backlog could be a serious security threat. We have all these contractors in Iraq who are employing people that have most likely not had a full background check completed. How easy would it be for foreign agents to penetrate the lower levels of our military if OPM cannot finish timely background checks? Pretty damn easy.

edit: spelling

3. Guess who RUNS the USOPM? CARLYLE GROUP !
It was completely "outsourced" in the 90's, and Carlyle group bought the company that has the contract.

So Poppy, Baker, and the Emir of Dubai are in charge...maybe the Bin Laden famly, too (they claim to have divested after 9/11 but prove it).
