Do you remember when presidents used to ease tensions?

Do you remember when presidents used to ease tensions?
Before * when there was some kind of international tension whether it was the US or another country...someone would comment so as to ease tensions. It was fairly common and was a smart thing to do.

Now, it's like the US has to always ratchet it up at least a few degrees.

The whole Iran thing with the speed boats and such...past presidents would have said or done something to ease the tension rather than risk a military conflict.

I realized today how long it's been since we had someone who cared about peace.

1. When you whip the populace into a frenzy, they can't think straight.
Clear headed types would never have allowed the IWR to get through. People have to be out of their minds with fear. It's the only M.O. these mofos know.
