Hey Michigan people! A question...
You don't need to be a registered Dem to show up at the poll and vote in the Dem primary right? Could a registered Repub show up, ask for a Dem primary ballot, and vote in it? I am asking on behalf of someone else. I already sent in my absentee ballot UNCOMMITTED.

1. Right.
You just have to be a registered voter.

3. Yup. Open primary. The selection is recorded and the parties have access to the rolls.
Any voter may vote in either primary. "The Way It Should Be."

4. Hey Michigan Vote Kucinich!
Send a message to the party.

There are only three active candidates on the Democratic primary ballot - Dennis Kucinich, Hillary Rodham Clinton and Mike Gravel.
So please, a vote for Dennis is a real vote for change.

5. Yes I did it in 2000. Voted for McCain to keep Bush out.
Well actually in Michigan McCain did win but in the long run it didn't matter:(

6. I did too...
I am thinking of voting in their party again, they have chosen our candidates with help from the media.

7. I Have Decided I Will Not Vote
I have decided that I will not vote at all, which really bothers me to think, because I generally think everyone should vote every time, etc. Because of the National Democratic Party's ruling against these earlier primaries, and attempts to keep them pushed a little back, (as expressed by such great people as Howard Dean who saved the Party, and James Roosevelt the grandson of Franklin and Eleanor, who has fought against the Social Security-killers ever since), I figured all along that I would probably not support the earlier date. All this does is move it all up, extend the already too-long campaign calendar, and infuse even more corporate money into the system, as these States are too large to be caucused as Iowa was, and will therefore be nothing but these shitty TV/radio etc. ads. This makes the corporate influence even larger, as they all have to raise even more money.

I even noticed that my real first choice, Sen. Chris Dodd, is actually still on the ballot here, and thought of voting for Dodd as a symbolic vote of support, but I do not want to support all these increasingly moved-up primary States, and so I have decided I will not vote. I hate doing that, but I want to support the National Democratic Party's disapproval of all of this jockeying forward to no end.
