I'm grateful for the diversity and disagreement on DU. It, in part, defines who we are. Compared to what the rethugs will toss our way in the GE, this is small stuff. We're just tuning up the message! Last time I checked, it was still the primaries.



After the Democratic Convention, we will close ranks. We will pull together to defeat the rethug nominee. We are going to win BIG on November 4, 2008

And DU will be just fine!!!

As some wise old sage once said (Twain maybe) I do not belong to an organized political party I am a democrat. I appreciate your sentiments. However, I am rather proud of myself for (damn near mostly) avoiding the primary tag team matches here for the past several months. I'll be tanned, rested and ready when the real "enemy" emerges from the bowels of the gop hate septic tank.

2. This is my first primary here, but I agree. Why?

Because I've seen people here rally together for a common cause. I've had questions helpfully answered by people with whom I was usually sparring over my candidate. I've flipped my lid and had people who I don't know PM me to show their understanding and kindly suggest that I take a break -- a genuine concern from the "pros".

Although I currently avoid the clashes, I know how passionately people feel about their candidates and I accept that good people do/say things in the heat of passion they wouldn't otherwise.

I have faith in DUers, and I'm really grateful to be here.

If you're feeling your candidate is being attacked, be grateful to the attacker because it gives you a chance to clarify your message and position...and develop a thicker skin...getting ready for the Republican attack!
