If McCain is the Republican nominee....
Edited on Tue Jan-15-08 07:17 PM by terrya
would it be fair for the Democratic nominee to bring up the issue of McCain's age? McCain, if elected, would be older when inaugurated than Reagan.

1. I think it's relevant. Hell, the Repukes bring up Elizabeth's cancer and three of them have it.

2. Yes. Everything will be "fair game" against us and we need to play the same game.

4. No need to. His age is obvious and has already been picked up by the M$M.
We can focus on his love of sucking chimpy's ass and his war.

6. I would hope
they wouldn't have to. He's so obviously out of touch.

THere must be a tactful way of pointing out that he belongs to the past.

7. I think so.
I wouldn't want the DEM candidate to be McCain's age.

8. It would be fair but
the Democratic nominee would be afraid it will backfire. Most importantly they won't have to bring up the issue because others will do it for them. As I was leaving work today some people were talking about McCain's age.

9. The nominee should not
but hopefully it will be pointed out by the media.

10. To quote Indiana Jones: "It's not the age, it's the mileage"
McCain's got a a lot of hard mileage, and it's entirely appropriate to talk about it.

11. It'd be fair - but it wouldn't work. It only becomes an issue if McCain

starts looking like he's not up to the job mentally or has a health crises.

14. Not an issue
Number one, McPain will not be the Repuke nominee. There are too many in that party who despise him over illegal immigration issues. Number two, if I'm wrong, and he gets nominated from a brokered convention (Mittens will spend his millions to come in second everywhere, leaving the others to take first where they can in various turns) then the Rethugs will refuse to come out and vote for him in November. Unless Hillary's the nominee, and they're really, really mad at her.
