It’s hard not to be cold hearted sometimes …
Edited on Thu Feb-22-07 09:03 PM by blueinindiana
when I hear stories about life long republican voters who get screwed over by the government or some business.

They lose their home due to a storm and the insurance company balks or they are injured in a medical procedure and get little or no compensation.

Yet they consistently vote for people who spend most of their time writing legislation that strips the rights of consumers and individual liberties.

I know I should feel sorry for people who come under some misfortune but it is hard sometimes not to say..

'I Told you So’

or even worse feel they...

'Deserved it’

I guess I am just angry, cold hearted or both.

No way - just by the fact that you are here gives you compassion. Just say Angry, it works for me. The saddest thing is that most of these republicans are not looking at the issues that affect them most - they are more concerned with abortion and gay rights issues more than anything else. It is of a belief (my conclusion only) is that if the moral fiber of this country is fixed to their liking, everything else will be just smelling like roses.

The GOP had to court those types of voters otherwise they would never get into office.
