2. Yep, I can see it outside of my office window now!
It's not much, and it won't accumulate to anything, but it's something! :)

And yeah, you gotta love those "If global warming exists, then why is it cold today" deniers. :eyes:

4. Well, Atlanta could sure use the moisture
Even if it is snow, at least it's some precipitation. And as far as "no such thing as global warming", it's supposed to get brutally cold here for a few days, so sure as I'm sitting here, someone will deny global warming since it will be hovering at zero degrees. Until it gets around 95 in summer, at least.

15. It takes a lotta snow to make a little bit of water.
I lived in the boonies as a kid and when the power went out, we had to melt snow on the woodstove for drinking water (it was cleaner then) and it took a tubful of snow to get a few inches of water.

Plus, aren't you still in drought conditions? We are here in central NC.

7. Correct "global warming" to "global climate change."
And that person can't possibly be from Georgia. I recall many winters with instances of snow there, growing up.

19. Southern Snows...
Growing up in the 1950s and '60s in the southernmost portion of Alabama, I saw snow maybe once a year. I recall even building a snowman a couple of times. Over the following 30 years, we saw only a few snowfalls and a change in planting zones as the temperature generally warmed.

8. atlanta average 2 inches of snow a year and the record for a single
snowfall was 10 inches back in 1940. All of which merely proves that its stupid to try to base a case either for or against global warning on individual weather events. Its long term trends that matter.

There are two hours delays in openings planned but it would seem if it were going to be bad, there would early closings anticipated instead of delayed openings.
