Tweety is on his most muted behavior after his come-down, but has been sitting there with his smug smirk, like he's swallowing something. His whole alternative to outright contempt has been that "the CLINTONs" (apparently Bill is also a candidate) played it "smart, low-balling, complaining about everything ahead of the day to make it seem like they were the underdogs."

Even my usual heroes Frank RICH and Rachel MADDOW are playing ball with him. RICH is the one who said, "In the long run (of the campaign) Nevada is inconsequential." MADDOW chimed in by saying that it would have been a bigger story if somebody else had won.

Tweety continued his fawning over GHOULiani in Florida who is not even a contender in any recent news. And now they are featuring Mittenfuhrer, whose wife said das Mitt is needed "to clean up THE MESS in D.C." Uh, small question, WHOSE mess is
it?!1 Who MADE it?! Plus, Tweety thinks it is fantastic how dose LDSes turn out to the max for Der Mitterrerr!1

In between all the "inconsequentiality" remarks, they keep throwing in these inconvenient facts: Hispanics and women amd the big Dem turnout.

1. Not if Edwards had won - tough defeat for him.
Not a big difference whether Clinton or Obama in terms of delegate numbers. It is on to S. Carolina.

2. A Win Is A Win Is A Win
A reason I had hoped the Kucinich people would have done a better job in Michigan...stole that primary that would have generated some PR...any is better than nothing.

In the "scheme of things"...yes, this caucus is just one step among many and that the overall number of delegates won't win or lose the election, but there's the "momentum" side that is at play here...the "sportscenter" aspect of this election.

Look at Mittens...he's treating this win as one of the most important...and for him it is...it keeps him "viable" in that horse race...a chance to sit on the podium and play winner for the night and hope the momentum gains him some extra votes down the road. Or be assured a victory by Ron Paul...ANYWHERE...will become a major corporate media story...ala Ross Perot of '92...he'll become a darling and flavor of the moment...then they'll ignore him.

Also, tonight's results aren't inconsequential for Senator Edwards...I suspect there's a bunch of soul searching happening on that front tonight.

Tiny state using an archaic 19th Century process where hardly anyone shows up.

I suppose the media might tout it, but that's about it.
