6. Not Happening
Obama Is not the centist she Is.The Clintons care nothing about Liberals/Progresives.They think
we will just vote for her ebcause she has a Democrat claim behind her and she critizes Bush now.
She will pick Bayh for VP.Mark my words.

24. Think it's more likely Richardson
Brings the Latino and Western voters. Excellent negotiator w/International cred. He played the debates quite well to position himself to work with anyone.

Bayh may be a Clinton favorite, but brings very little to the ticket.

Or Edwards/Richardson? Think he would bring something to any ticket.

4. Badda-boom, badda-bing...
It's a beautiful thing.

Then again, I said that in '04...but I don't think the forces of darkness aren't nearly as organized against the Dems as they were then.

5. It is early yet--after all the bitterness---let see how things
play out. I had heard there might be a much more importantposition
for Obama the offing should Hilary win.

7. Nothing
no democrat of stature is going to be on the ticket with Clinton. This is not an anti Clinton bash but the VP is unattractive enough with two presidents in the WH no one is going to give a F what the vice president is thinking.

8. Agree with above, not a good idea
We all know the top of the ticket would have to be Hillary to satisfy the DNC, and as VP Obama would have to be locked up to prevent him from making inspiring speeches that made people sorry he wasnt the President.

That would be bad for Hillary's ego.

29. Meh...no different than any other primary season in my lifetime
I think people are generally astute enough to know that primaries are vicious by nature and candidates are in it to win, not trying to be best buds with other Dems.

On DU maybe, but not as a big publicized grudge match. At least the fight is energizing people.

34. I agree with that....
Honestly, I think most of the rancor is media-generated. The Dems are the story this year, because let's face it, the GOP is putting up the same old cranky white men to be POTUS. At least the Dems are original, and interesting to watch.

Energy is good; sometimes even negative energy can be useful. I think once the primaries are over and the nom is in, we can all go back to hating BushCo. Really, it's the only thing we seem to have in common, some days.

Hopefully it'll make people vote, again, in November.

13. Obama will not pick Hillary and Hillary will not pick Obama and it has nothing to do with liking
each other or not. It has to do with cold, hard, but smart calculations.

There is a percentage of the population who will vote for a black candidate but not a woman.
There is a percentage of the population who will vote for a woman, but never a black candidate.
A black man running with a woman or visa versa will suffer the loss of both of those percentages combined.

Neither of them will decrease their viability by choosing the other as a running mate, and I would never begrudge it of either of them. I want one of them to be my President, obviously my first choice is Hillary but I will dance for joy if Barack Obama is sworn in just as well. As a matter of fact, my husband and I started talking about making plans to go to D.C. for the inaugural today - Hillary's or Obama's.

I think it's the best bet for a slam dunk ticket and unite most voters behind them really.

Something like...

"My candidate is running for prez, YOURS is running for vice-prez!"

"No, YOUR candidate is running for veep, MINE is running for POTUS"

"Oh yeah?"

"Yeah! Youz gotta pro'lem w'dat?"

The usual shit.

Think people are going for each other's jugular veins now? Try what you are talking about and see what happens. Oh, everybody will start out trying to get along, being civil, and dealing with each other, then the shit will hit the fan the minute Obama opens his mouth to say something stupid again.
