What could America do with $200 billion dollars?
I was reading an article (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=259x10109) about this new fighter plane for the Air Force. It costs 200 million dollars a unit, with the US expected to spend over 200 BILLION all toll for these new killing machines. Thats billion with a B.

My question to DU is this; What better way could the US invest all this taxpayer money instead of in this monstrosity?

3. That money could be better spent
feeding the poor, sheltering the homeless, UHC, new schools etc. Don't you think? The development and research alone cost 40 billion.

4. Nice pic.
Just like an auto show. Except it's a tad expensive and doesn't fly very well.
