The only question now is just exactly how much mock praise
John Edwards will receive, from certain HRC and Obama supporters, in their desperate (and in some cases) pathetic attempt to woe primary and GE votes from Edwards' supporters who can see the handwriting on the wall.

Sure, some of the accolades is genuine, but there's a lot of phoniness going around in order to weasel votes.

I for one believe it's a tactical mistake for any of these camps to argue Edwards needs to get out now and support their guy/gal in the best interest of the party, blah blah blah.

But that's what I'm starting to see.

In my view, the piling on I witnessed last night after Edwards got trounced in Nevada was a huge turn off and could come back to haunt certain parties.

You don't kick supporters when they're down, and expect them to come running to your side. In fact, you risk having them turn against you.

The arrogant behavior from some DUers, under the guise of empathy/compassion/understanding (however you want to describe it) has been nauseating.

Edwards and his supporters deserve to at least see what happens in South Carolina, if not on Tsunami Tuesday as well, before the vultures start pissing all over his remains.

It's the least his supporters who have, and continue to work so hard on his behalf, deserve.

1. I agree about SC.
But a bad showing in SC should just about do it.

Is he leading in any state ? ..how about second place in any state ? I hate to see em go, but like you pointed out, the writing is on the wall.

2. They're gonna have to keep it up for a long time then, because...
...by all indications, JRE is in it for the long run.

3. I felt truly embarassed for Edwards at the 4% figure he got. I do think the media has
reduced the possible field to two, which has entered the thinking of a lot of caucus goers and voters.
