Iraq's Prime Minister and President say Iraqi forces will be able to take over by end of the year

"Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki said on Thursday his government's forces would be able to take over security command from U.S. troops -- a move which could allow the United States to start withdrawing. Also, President Jalal Talabani said Wednesday he foresees Iraqi forces taking over security in all 18 provinces by the end of the year."

Yeah, they said this... in 2006!

1. ever wonder if the iraqi's are just pulling our administration along

so the iraqi politicians can suck the golden teat a little longer and just before the administration demands they start to sign over oil they sever the ties? just a thought.
