Edited on Sun Jan-20-08 12:09 PM by Blackhatjack
How would Hillary make the argument on behalf of the Democratic Party that Campaign Finance Reform change would be more likely if she is elected against John McCain who has sponsored and made a centerpiece of his Senate career campaign finance reform?

She would not have a leg to stand on.

2. McCain has his weaknesses as well, but THIS OP was about one issue...
... and changing the subject does not advance the discussion of that issue.

4. McCain will have corporate donors out the wazoo.
Probably more than Hillary. So would Obama.

5. Fewer than you think... And McCain was co-author of "McCain/Feingold" to fall back on...
I agree that both Hillary and Obama are vulnerable on this issue. Only Edwards could stand up to McCain in this issue and fight from a strong position.

6. Wow! That is an odd situation. I never thought I'd see the day when a
Dem would lose campaign finance reform situation against a Repuke. Clinton had better rethink everything really well.
