1. He's not like any other spouse. But that's no reason to hold HRC to a different standard
than any other candidate.

5. OK-He's not the same as every other spouse but that's no reason to hold him to a different standard.

9. your right
i don't see michelle showing up and booing the hill supporters, I don't see her inciting bi partisanship within the democratic party. I don't see michelle doing everything she can under the sun to disparage her opponents and cry foul. I don't support either of the corporate candidates but I do not find bill's actions appealing either as a spouse or as an ex president.

10. Funny, I see other nominees wives showing up and using everything they've got to
promote their husbands and defend them from attacks.

12. Elizabeth Edwards sometimes gets *more* attention than John does.

She certainly has received more at certain points in the campaign.

She's a very strong proponent of his campaign, and I see that as a very solid plus.

13. k give me examples of michelle
that parrellell what bill has done?

here is what i find is wrong

a. showing up at the caucus

remember he already has a huge influance on democrats and tugs at alot of our heartstrings but were not voting for bill remember were voting for hillary. (btw i love how hill supporters love to say billary one second then say that bill is not running for a third term) basically he is using undue influance to sway people and ex presidents have alot of sway in person

b. promoting bipartisianship in the party

by showing up he automatically becomes the hill mascot. what happened next at the caucus runs at the heart of why i don't like what he did. His meer presence caused the two camps to start feuding and yes it is his fault.

c. by being a cheerleader

the manor in which he acted was definatly not proffesional nor becoming an ex president. quite dignity and promoting hill would be fine but being a one man pep squad just turned me off.

15. Every spouse does what they can. There's not a rule book or set of limitations.
They each give the most they can, using whatever assets are available to them.

16. right i didnt say what he did was break the rules
but his actions do not dignify the office he once held. He has undue influance over democrats as a whole and so his mere presance does disrupt the caucus system since his mere presence as a democratic figure and ex presidant influances peoples choices.
Also like I said "I" did not like his actions and thought they were jeuvinille and unproffesional and I thought the fact that his presance and attitude promoted a divide in our party did more to hurt us then anything. This is my opinion not the law that says what he did was wrong. That is what we were debating. Also bill is not like any other spouse, he was a figure head for our party as a whole and throughout hill's run he has been using that to his advantage. Even bush sr didn't campaign to much on his son's behave. It may not be illigal but just promotes my thinking that the clintons will do whatever they can and sink to whatever level to attain more power and wealth.

Carry on.

18. if you find his actions
such as prancing about like a yale cheerleader then thats fine

if creating tension among democrats by his mere presence is fine then ok

if by making false accusations about voter suppression is ok then fine

whatever favor bill had with me he has lost it in his fanatical bid to do whatever it takes to get hillary into office, it is not longer a democratic bid but a race, a no holds barred, hold no punches, be as dirty as you can be kinda race then i dont want any part of it.

23. The rebuttal is simple: HRC is doing what any candidate ought to do - use every
asset she has. Bill Clinton is one of those assets. He's out there supporting his nominee, just like anyone else can do.

I have zero problem with it. Your condemnation comes down to "prancing". Lame.

4. If the context is silly assertions claiming that he shouldn't support her...
then he is just like any other spouse. All of the spouses are on the campaign trail, and they all support their respective candidates.

7. Well, maybe you should explain to use what Bill Clinton should do.
Should he stop supporting his wife? Should he cleave off the mighty Clenis, and allow it to choose it's own candidate? Will the sundering of this mighty organ from the man make his supporting his wife more palatable?

I bet you the Clenis supports John Edwards!!!11111

20. Bill Can't Make Catty Remarks And Then Bat His Eyelashes, Innocently
Because he was a POTUS, and a leader of the Democratic Party, he can't go making some of the horrific negative attacks past candidates' wives have. Granted, most of those were upon a candidate's spouse.
