The Administration may have already pardoned itself in this Bill...
In October 2006 the Senate passed the Military Commissions Act, inserted at the very bottom were revisions to the 2005 Detainees Act which appear to give complete immunity to any and all involved in torture or acts against treaties. 12 Dewmocrats voted for the bill, to there credit neither Clinton, nor Obama did so.

This will be my last posting on DU. After a trial of nearly 6mos I have decided that all in all it is worthless, and serves as nothing more than a fodder factory fro the Free Republic. Although I note that 7 or 8 individuals are intelligent, and worth listening to and discussing issues with.

1. Don't allow a loud, obnoxious minority of DUers to keep you away.

As you encounter these posters, just put them on ignore. I guarantee that you'll find far more than seven or eight good Duers. Please think about staying. :)

By the way, if you know, did the House ever pass the bill?

4. I wonder if this would be considered unconstitutional.
It would certainly appear to be in direct contradiction.

btw please reconsider posting here. I realize it seems an uphill battle but every thoughtful poster/post is valuable.
