"Mitt Romney wears magic underwear and has golden plates!"

When asked, Governor Mitt Romney stated Eden was located in Missouri. On further questioning he admitted to having a total of five wives and being the inspiration of the HBO series, "Big Love."

etcetera. Any other ideas?

1. We need to be twice as nasty, but armed with the TRUTH.
That's the difference between them and us.

We fight with the truth.

I will say ANYTHING about the Repuke opposition, no matter how nasty, so long as it is TRUE.

They, on the other hand, will bend, distort, twist and fabricate to their dark little hearts' content.

We have to get Democrats to stop taking a knife to a gunfight, while the Repubklickers insist on bringing knives to chess tournaments.

3. I pretty much agree and there's plenty of truth out there to make them look bad.
But, damn it after two rovian "dirty tricks" national elections, I'm ready for payback.

4. Right on.
Case in point: Romney. The dude tied his dog to the roof of his car for a family vacation...I mean, if that's how he treats his DOG, how the hell is he going to treat the country?

6. Also go after his company Bain Capital
see how many Americans had their jobs outsourced, eliminated or totally downsized. Make job losses a weapon that will totally demoralize the Republican base.

2. Works for me.
The only bad politics are ineffective politics.

The first election I participated in was 1980. I've developed some healthy cynicism.

5. I think we should quickly OUT the identities/backgrounds of the swiftboaters.
Attack the attackers, I say.

7. "I don't give 'em hell. I tell the truth on them and they think they're in hell."
To quote Harry s Truman. I think we should follow Truman's strategy.

However, the problem is getting the truth out. With the MSM owned by the GOP, how much of our truth will be allowed? How much of their lies and distortions?

8. Ya gotta love Harry! (I lived in Truman Corners a long time ago)
And don't forget the new power of the "internets!"

10. Damn right, and a step further...
I'm not even interested in the truth anymore, except when it's enough to do fatal damage to a republican campaign. If not, then embellish, distort, lie and photoshop some evidence, post it all over the web, and then make the bastards play defense for once.

When dealing with republicans, winning is the only thing that matters anymore. This country can't survive another GOP administration, particularly when you consider this pack of demented loons and sociopaths running for the top spot on the GOP ticket.

The RNC and its operatives have become expert at siphoning off votes to marginal candidates, voter roll purging, playing the race card, voter caging, election fraud and the rest of the time-tested GOP grand theft election manual. And these tactics are, in fact, disgusting and reasonable people shouldn't have to emulate them.

However, not as disgusting as the idea of another fascist administration, featuring lifetime judicial appointments up to and including at least two on the supreme court. Four more years of a Cheney style presidency, adding to the steaming pile of repressive domestic legislation already rammed through by BushCo and its allies in congress.

I'll have plenty of time to worry about my compromised ethics once this pack of mass murderers, liars and thieves is safely behind bars and the GOP is completely out of power. Until then, there's nothing too sleazy if it serves to get rid of republicans at all levels of government -- from the white house to the county coroner's office. Anything less than a complete purge is an opportunity wasted.

12. Absolutely we should reciprocate.
In past elections I recall a handful of Democrats online (not at DU, elsewhere) saying that we should not sink to their level with such attacks, but should instead, "take the high moral ground." I now believe that the "Democrats" saying that, were Republican plants.
