1. But who pays the bills then?

If you take the soldiers out of military care, who pays for their private care? I doubt many soldiers or their families would be able to cover the costs associated with extenisve surgeries and rehab many7 of them have to undergo.

2. We locals can take better care of them than WRAMC

They can be cared for at local VA Facilities or in local funded public or private facilities. Some of these guys do still have private insurance from their employers. I personally would contribute to the care of a wounded soldier who came home and needed our help. Wouldn't you?

Taxpayers are paying the bills one way or another.

It would be best to have them welcomed home and be close to people who love them easing the transition back to civilian life.
