Norris says McCain too old for president
Norris says McCain too old for president
By APRIL CASTRO, Associated Press Writer
Sun Jan 20, 7:42 PM ET

NAVASOTA, Texas - Campaigning for Mike Huckabee, actor Chuck Norris said Sunday that Sen. John McCain is too old to handle the pressures of being president.

"I didn't pick John to support because I'm just afraid that the vice president would wind up taking over his job in that four-year presidency," said Norris, who was hosting a fundraiser for Huckabee at his Lone Wolf Ranch.

"So we need to find someone that can handle it for four years or eight years ... that has the youth and vision and communication skills to make that work." Norris, 67, is four years younger than McCain, who will be 72 in August.

Huckabee will be 52 in August.

2. Maybe he is, can't say. His mind still seems somewhat sharp. Things
are going to get very intense coming upon Super Tuesday. Let's see if he can handle the pace.

7. I am the same age as Norris.....and
I agree...McCain is too old...but he is not the only one...Any person over the 70 yr mark is too old...I don't care how good a shape they look to be in...the guy saying it, is no slouch in the physical condition department either...so even he understands that a person's reactions or state of alert have most likely suffered with age..and that the mental acuity of a person this age is probably not such that they can still do what a 45/50/55 yr old would be able to do...Running this country is not the job for a figurehead...we need someone in office young enough to handle the job, and not fall asleep while doing it...wb

9. Seriously... who gives a flying fuck what Chuck Norris thinks about anything?
I mean, have you seen his work? The guy is a goddamn idiot. I watched "Walker, Texas Ranger" once and I'm still laughing about it. What the hell is wrong with this country that people take political analysis from this meathead seriously? The headline might as well be: "Guy who rents my garage says McCain too old for president."
