Obama to confront WJC ..whats not to like ? ..DU finds plenty
I can't believe this. Obama thinks he is being attacked by WJC with half truths and lies ..He vows to confront these lies, something Kerry should have done in 2004, but failed to do so.

How could this be a bad idea ? Are some of you implying it would be better to NOT confront someone that is smearing you in a campaign ?

DU, where are you ? ..lets be consistent.

1. BHO would then have to confront his own lies and half truths.

5. Help by keeping these two at each others throats.
Onward to a brokered convention, where we can nominate a real Democrat from the "non-of-the-above" column.

6. Ya, lets throw all those American votes away...
and pick a candidate behind closed doors for the people.

This is acceptable to you ?

14. I'd be happy with a brokered convention if we got Edwards (or Dodd!)
Edited on Mon Jan-21-08 01:26 PM by theredpen
But it is kinda a "stop us before we vote again" move. I think I have to side with Democracy.

Also, Clinton is leading in pre-pledged superdelagates — a brokered convention might be the DLC's wet dream.

4. So if he is the nominee...
he should let the GOP walk all over him ? Do you think Kerry took the right path in not confronting the Swift boat attacks ?

9. Invoking Reagan isn't a blunder
attacking Reagan is a blunder. There are millions of Reagan democrats and Dixiecrats that are about to vote in their primary.

13. Yep.
Gotta win over the center to win the GE. Just the facts jack.

The moderates, Independents, fence sitters, Blue dog dems, Reagan democrats, and Dixiecrats will all decide the election.

would EVER vote for a black man. Not in a million years. Don't delude yourself into believing that. It will backfire on you and your candidate.

17. Yes, just as was the case on DU in 2004
-when the political (at that time "primary") forum was created so that GD could be freed of campaign PR.
