So the Republican candidates just ignore MLK day?
And the corporate media doesn't call them on it? That's how it appears. All three Dem candidates are on the same stage honoring Dr. King, and the repugs are campaigning in Florida as though it's just another day.

Do they even pay lip service to MLK day?

6. It is for charity...
Proceeds go to the "Save the Bars and Stars Fund."Note: Under pressure following last years re-enactment, they were forced to cancel the popular "flogging booth".

4. All the GOP candidates acknowledge MLK day at their own political peril
they can't. They all need and want RW nutcase votes and acknowledging MLK would be the kiss of death.

7. I saw Huckabee talk about him for a couple of minutes
this morning. His words were some of the most blatant religious pandering I've heard in awhile.

9. I noticed that on Yahoo
The headline was "Democratic candidates pay homage to King" or something. I was like, "And where's the Republicans?"

But hey, I read on another forum that white males are the real victims of racism and prejudice. So I'm guessing the Republicans just don't want to honor their oppressor.

Sigh. I freaking hate humans sometimes.
