24/7 MSM election coverage. Meanwhile the world is in a financial meltdown
and we're learning from Europe, and more specifically London, that high-placed government officials (Marc Grossman, et. al.) are engaged in all manner of illegal activity, not the least of which is the selling of US nuclear weapons technology to the highest bidder (think about that one again), as per Sibel Edmonds.

Asian markets: http://finance.yahoo.com/intlindices?e=asia
European markets: http://finance.yahoo.com/intlindices?e=europeUS

US Government crime: http://news.google.com/news?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGLD,GGLD:2005-02,GGLD:en&q=Sibel+Edmonds&um=1&tab=wn&scoring=n

Ten months out from the election, 7 from the conventions, and all we get is 24/7 candidate coverage. I have to admit, right here and right now, I am sick of it! Give me 1 hour of coverage per party each day and spend the rest of the day telling me why I should give a fuck about elections!

1. There's a housing bubble in Canada, too!
The Financial News Outlets are covering the financial news--have no fear. Turn on BLOOMBERG or CNBC, you'll get NOTHING BUT financial news.

The MSM is covering primaries and Britney. Bloomberg and CNBC aren't talking about Britney at all....

That's how it works. Go on, vote with that remote!!!

3. CNBC are pump monkeys. Their job is to make everything look
as rosy as they can, even if they have to lie. I have seen them lie hundreds and HUNDREDS of times just since the beginning of this year. The only good they are for is that they display the market stats, and I sometimes wonder if that data is being presented honestly.

9. GE/NBC--We Bring Good Wars To Life.
You aren't going to get what you seek from tee vee. It's all bullshit and spin. You're never going to get a straight and unbiased story from the magic box in the living room.

You need to be the crow on the pile of shit, picking out those pieces of corn. You've got to make your own meal out of what spills out of that box.

All I'm saying is, if you want financial news, check the financial news networks. You'll still have to sift and sort, but that's the best you're gonna get. You may get the occasional gem on PBS, but even they're hamstrung by the GOP these days.

Don't expect the bullshitting twenty four hour news outlets to provide information, that, important or not, puts most people to sleep. It just isn't going to happen. It's not "sale-able" to the Anna Nicole- Nataleee -Britney crowd...

2. I've always believed that the reason we started the 2009 presidential
campaign so early was to distract US citizens from the bushes messes day after day and could look forward to a new president in 2009. I'm still not convinced the bushes will allow a new president.

Edited to add: Also, I am currently watching the Cheney's Law episode of http://www.pbs.org/">Frontline and it's very difficult to conceive that Cheney will let go of power that easily.

5. Also the reason candidates like Thompson are in it.
He's not seriously running...Bushco just called in the marker. They paced their entries, too.
Every new republican candidate was a new distraction.
