LOL....I just thought this was such a funny freeper post.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/1957235/posts

I don't know anyone who doesn't like Fred Thompson (other than trolls, whose opinions never count), and the reason I've seen Republican primary voters give for not voting for Fred Thompson is that he didn't come to their state and do a silly little monkey dance to prove how much he wanted to be president. This makes these people to dumb to live.

1. Hmm, he may have a point.
If all it takes to win the Presidency is a monkey dance, it's easy to see why Shrub got where he is today.

2. Well they all "unified" for Chimpolini in 2000 & 2004
So I guess monkeydancin' is a good tactic for the "base!"

9. I think Fred has been deployed to deflate Huckabee
which he accomplished in South Carolina. Fred concentrated on the northern part of the state, the areas more inclined to vote for Thompson or Huckabee. And Thompson's efforts paid off. He took enough votes to give McCain the edge over Huckabee. I think that's his role, now. He can't win the nomination. He's been an abysmal disappointment. However, he might still be able to siphon off enough votes to keep Huckabee out of the #1 spot.
Maybe that explains his rather bizarre non-farewell farewell speech Sat. night. He thanked everybody repeatedly. And came so close, so close, to saying he was throwing in the towel. But he stopped short. It was a bizarre speech.
