1. Quite a few min wage/low wage jobs in there.
We don't really need MORE jobs - we need the jobs we have to pay enough to support our families without having to work 2 or 3 jobs.

3. My daughter's (makeup artist) day rate is $350.
She's had so many great offers (with fantastic benefits)
here in DC (she's certified in HD makeup) that she's considering
leaving Hollywood.

8. The best place...
is The Westmore Academy in Burbank, CA.

My daughter loved it!

They got her jobs and helped her with her union requirements, too.

2. I love my job. Retired.
After 40 years of it (I started when I was 15) I became convinced that work was a highly overrated pastime.

11. Little to Do With Gambling, I Suspect
Although it's possible.

Search out the thread on "griefers." They're a threat to the long-term financial profits in MMOs.

13. I followed the link and casinos were the source of the job.

I can't see MMOs creating a top 10 job for 2008. The volume of players just isn't there. 6 million subscribers to WoW is nothing compared to the traffic that Vegas/Atlantic City see.

7. You couldn't pay me enough to be #2
I'm an RN and I have to do those sorts of things as part of my job, but to do only that? No way. Forget it. Bless those that do it though!

12. yeah, the people who work in this industry are horribly underpaid
Edited on Fri Jan-25-08 01:54 PM by notadmblnd
performing one of the most humble of jobs. Washing and cleaning of human beings who can't perform hygiene tasks for themselves. I have a neice that works in the industry and I was just speechless when she told me what she had to do with patients that didn't have the strength to even move their own bowels. Tells you what we think of our families when they get old or disabled doesn't it?
