Why Pelosi and Reid were chosen as leaders?
They thought people were tired of the partisanship and they believed they could work with George W Bush. They foolishly believed that was the best thing for America. So they compromised with the tyrant and he continued to do just what he was doing before the Democrats took over the House and Senate. It was a mistake to put Reid and Pelosi in charge. Bush will only compromise when he is challenged and when he thinks he is beaten. Otherwise, it is his way or the highway.

1. yeah, slow learning with respect to Bush...
after him mowing down diplomatic means toward Iraq, some of them got a clue, but by last year they should have all had this figured out.

2. conceivable with Reid, not with Pelosi
if working with Bush was the motivation, I don't see why Pelosi would be chosen.

3. What is the timeframe for inserting leadership with a spine?
When and how can we put leaders into place? These two have the lowest approval numbers and they must think that it come from thinking they must kiss ass more effectively. They have tossed salad far too long.

4. With a 232 to 199 majority in the house
I would have thought they could get more done.

6. OK, but how
many time do they have to get shit on before they wake up to the fact that to Bu$h bipartisanship translates to: its my way or NO way.

7. They ONLY way these people will get a spine
is to vote Edwards in a the dem nominee. Why? Because then these people will know that "we are as mad as hell, and not going to take it anymore". They will then be put on notice that either they change or they will be voted out. His nomination will be a BIG wake up call for those already in office.
