Man Plans Battered Husband Defense In Wife's Slaying
This will be an interesting one to watch.

Man Says He Had No Choice But To Kill Wife

"INDIANAPOLIS -- An Indianapolis man who admitted killing his wife plans to argue that he was a victim of battered husband syndrome.

A jury trial for Ray Spradley, 44, begins Monday in Marion Superior Court, 6News' Derrik Thomas reported. Expert witnesses in the field of domestic violence cases will square off during that trial.."

5. Actually, I'd be more suspicious of 2 well-aimed shots.
11 shots works toward his defense. It's easier to explain as panic or rage fire.

4. My father knew someone who was abused by his wife.....
this does happen...more than the average person knows.....she would verbally and physically abuse this person...he was small in stature..but a very nice man.....last I heard(as my father has not seen him in quite a few years)he was still with the lady....

6. I believe there are just as many women as men walking around
with anger management issues.

And battering doesn't have to involve physical abuse, it can be psychological as well - maybe the woman has threatened the safety of the children? Or the family pet, for that matter.
