For Fun and to Lighten Up: Your Worst Right Wing Relative Stories
On another post I was ranting about by certifiably insane brother in law.
Then thought it might be fun to see if anyone else is related to one of these assclowns.

I know we are going at each other, so I thought it might be fun to share stories of the "real" enemies.

To start off, I have a brother in law that honestly believes there were WMD's in Iraq, but right before we invaded the Syrians, or the Iranians (Or was it the Russians?) snuck them out of Iraq in order to make George Bush look bad. He honestly believes this! And I could go on, and on with his profiles in republican dementia, but that'll give you a taste of what my Christmas is like.
I dread the holidays, but they are a great source of material.

Oh, almost forgot to mention:
He hates the "liberals", "deadbeats" and "candy-ass intellectuals".
He thinks they should "get off their ass and work for a living".
And yet my wife informs me that he hasn't been employed for at least 6 years because he draws a disability check!
WTF?
I have yet to see what physical disability he suffers from, except being a complete assclown.
He is able to hunt, work in his shop and race his midget go-karts in the summer. Classic!

Any similar stories?

1. When I asked my sister where the surplus went
she said quite bitterly... social programs!!! Aargh.

This just after she told me she would be applying for her state's medical assistance program.

I will never understand why people who are using social programs are so often the same ones bitching about them. Must be that build yourself up by putting others down thing.

2. I don't have any right wing relatives, but my ex-husband clung
to bush for years. It was weird. He's very, very bright, reads nothing but history, has two post-grad degrees from Georgetown and is far more libertarian by nature than repuke or conservative. He just had this creepy thing for bush. It ended about a year and a half ago, and he supported Biden for the time he was in the race. Now he's leaning toward McCain. Ugh.

3. My aunt and uncle lost their farm during the Reagan '80s
But it wasn't Ronnie's fault, it was the Communists. I kid you not.

Now they have pictures of W all over their house, and they think global warming is fake—it just seems hotter because of the sun on all the new asphalt that's being built.

And in spite of all this, I really love 'em and enjoy being with 'em! Go figure.

5. Sorry, discussions like this are as far from fun as any activity in my life
I have stopped going to family functions for this very reason.

Sounds like your BIL is Charlie Krautfuhrer.

6. My BIL
is an conservative cliche. Bigot.. Mc mansion in a gated community.. businessman.. drives giant SUV.. golfer.. anti-environment.. Nascar fan.. Bill O'Reilly watcher.. xenophobic..etc.

So family gatherings are always "fun". He always tries to provoke arguments with me, but out of respect to my sister and parents I just ignore him. But one of these days I'm going to let him have it.
