1. Geez! My liver hasn't recovered from last year.
And then there was the year when I counted 12 times I should have had shots in the first 3 minutes of the speech. I just can't drink like that anymore.

8. I can't make it through the part where he walks in and the politicians adore him,
shaking his hand, hugging him, kissing him. By the time he reaches the podium and Pelosi is cheering him, I flip off the TV and sit down at my computer or read my book.

13. That's a merciful card
Severe cases of alcohol poisoning would result if they had a slot for "unnerstan" or "the American people unnerstan" or "Congress unnerstans." It is, without exception, his favorite verbal crutch to say that he, or they, or someone else "unnerstans." Once you've noticed it, it is one of the more annoying things in the universe, because he clearly doesn't understand a goddam thing.
