Nearly $500 billion will be paid just to service the FY07 debt.
The third largest expenditure of the Federal Govt. after Defense and Health and Human Services.

Year after year after year.

A quarter of our budget is being skimmed every year and the number one recipient of those funds is the Fed and other Central Banks around the world. Quite a cash cow.

We're Number 163!!!!

2. You will never hear this mentioned on the Tube. Ever.
You always hear about the cost of Health and Human Services.

Occasionally the massive Defense budget is mentioned.

But never is the transference of wealth to the Central Banks mentioned. Never.

3. here's the elephant in the room that neither party is real thrilled
to discuss. Someday someone ( our children and grandchildren) will be paying this back and hating our generation. Think about what we could be doing with that half a trillion dollars a year, as per becoming energy self sufficient and improving our overall health.

4. For comparison, Exxon, the largest co. in the world, is valued at $385B.
That's the total value of Exxon.

The equivalent of 1 1/4 Exxon's is swallowed up every year.

6. For some reason people don't understand
that without this huge debt that Reagan/Bush/Bush have rung up, we could have a HUGE tax cut. None of this $600 per year crap.

9. The good news is the US can continue its massive twin deficits into perpetuity without ever having
to pay the piper nor lowering the US standard of living or value of the dollar. Moreover, the rest of the world will gladly continue to fund our vast defense structure which spends more on military spending than the rest of the world so we can exert our will on the rest of the world. :9

13. We need a new graph.
As big as Chimp's borrowing(actually moving Joe Citizen's pile to Joe Banker's pile) has been, it's now nearly double what that graph shows.
