3. Bet the M$M won't mention it
It would be great for the network evening news programs to cover this prior to the SOTU address, but I doubt it will be mentioned. Hope KO will at least bring it up.

8. Most in our own party will not mention it and to the best of my
knowledge Keith never had Dennis on his show this past year.

11. Unless he has a ton of support, why would they mention it?
If he has a least a third of the house supporting him, then it'll be covered. If he's off on his own or with less than 75 reps also signed up, then it'll be ignored.

The issue isn't the MSM, but why not more support?

Listening to this, selling the tax cuts in 2001 based on false statements just as they did the invasion of Iraq.

Rep Wexler: Bush's State of Disunion

http://www.afterdowningstreet.org/?q=node/30503

"Tonight, President Bush will issue what will thankfully be his final State of the Union address; but, little of what he says can be trusted...

We must aggressively pursue impeachment hearings for Vice President Dick Cheney due to serious allegations of abuse of power including illegal wiretapping, torture, and deliberate lies to bring us to war...

Bush Administration officials and cabinet members must answer questions - on the record - regarding illegal wiretapping, torture, and what I perceive as deliberate, knowing lies to the American people in an effort to bring us to war in Iraq.

Impeachment hearings are essential because the Administration has recklessly used claims of executive privilege to block key witnesses from testifying. Impeachment hearings could force the Administration to drop their executive privilege claims and we would then finally get the answers this nation deserves..."

37. UPDATE from Kucinich site, met with Judiciary Committee today
http://kucinich.house.gov/News/DocumentSingle.aspx?DocumentID=82672

"Washington, Jan 28 - Today, Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) released the following statement:

"After making a statement on the floor of the House of Representatives last week indicating my intent to introduce articles of impeachment against George W. Bush, I met with members of the Judiciary Committee. After that brief meeting, I am hopeful there will be an inquiry by the Judiciary Committee. I will give them the opportunity to proceed before introducing articles of impeachment."

Sounds like someone is using well below the belt level tactics against him.

Not that this bunch has ever done anything untrustworthy.

Why is he the only one against the fall of democracy? Why don't more people support him?

43. That says more to me about the other members of our party
than it does about Kucinich. So many of them were either fooled, just went along being a good team player or were complicit in the rush to invade Iraq.

Same with the single-payer health care issue as the 2000 and 2004 platform committees told him.

And our party has said nothing about the draft Iraq Oil Law that we tried to pressure the Iraqi's to pass.

Dennis has been trying to fight the MIC, big insurance and oil companies and most people in our party remained silent.

But let's talk about what we will do for the poor and forget about all the money that goes to the bottom line line of these companies.
