A "tax rebate" that would stimulate the economy.
$1k per person (18 & older) IF you earn less than $100K a year.

For a couple that would be $2k, and even if they had a bunch of kids, that's still nothing to sneeze at. Rewarding people who have a lot of children, as opposed to people who have limited their families, is not necessarily a good thing to do.

Families making $200K a year do NOT "need" $2K nearly as much as ..

This would also include old people on pensions and unemployed people, as well as "people who don't pay income taxes"..

No matter how much WE get, it will not get spent on anything we don't already buy.

For people who are struggling, it will just go to paying bills they already have...bills like gas for the car, utilities, phone bills, tuition, credit card monthly bills...and even if some people run to almart, the money they spend will end up in China's wallet..

1. It doesn't matter how much I get...
...I'll bank it. Nothing Bush comes up with will stave off a recession, and when that hits the $600 or whatever is going to be part of my emergency fund.

4. Yup.. people have short memories.. and the kicker?
Bush won't be IN office when they have to pay it back.. and by then the repubes will call it a TAX INCREASE :eyes:

It's just a "payday" loan on taxes owed in April 2009 ..

5. I'm converting mine to EU's. Not giving moron* or this colossal
stupid idea of a "stimulus" anymore credit than it deserves, which is nothing.

This is going to be nothing be a loud fart in the wind. People will notice but after a few minutes, everyone will laugh and talk about how much it stank.
