Utah Congressman Jim Matheson is now calling for a federal hearing into Divine Strake.

Thursday, the Department of Defense cancelled the 700 ton bomb test in the Nevada desert.

This after thousands of Utahns objected to the potential downwind nuclear fallout.

But Friday, Matheson told ABC 4 News he wants to know exactly who was behind the test and why.

Matheson says, "I am...on the Energy sub-committee of the House Energy and Commerce committee which has jurisdiction over the Department of Energy nuclear weapons program and within that sub-committee, I want to hold hearings."

And Matheson also says that - if he has to - he will issue congressional subpoenas.

5. Something is wrong with this
I thought the weight of the bomb was twenty thousand pounds and not Nuclear or Atomic. This article says the bomb weighs 140,000 pounds and is nuclear or at least somehow has nuclear fallout.. I must have missed something..

6. Exploding a 700 ton bomb on the nuclear testing grounds would throw radioactive dust into the air
from the old nuke tests. Huge mushroom cloud filled with radioactive dust.
