It's Groundhog's day, Truthseekers! Did you see the Bill Murray movie?

Bush woke up today, saw the last shadowy 7 years and said: "does this mean I get to do it over and over again 'till I get it right?"

For the sake of the Republic, let's hope not.

It’s Friday Truthseekers! Time to recap the winners and losers and important news stories of the week. So we’ll check in and see how Brittney’s doing in the psych ward, find out the latest on Heath Ledger’s autopsy . . . . not.

It’s only been four days since Bush’s (hopefully) final State of the Union address and one of his so-called “major accomplishments” has already been blown all to hell . . . literally. “Twin bombs struck two markets in central Baghdad on Friday, killing dozens in the worst attack in the Iraqi capital for many months.” The New York Times reports today, continuing: “One hit the Ghazil pet market, the scene of a deadly bombing in November that killed 13 people. The second hit minutes later and barely two miles away at the New Baghdad pet market. Both markets are on the east side of the Tigris River, and both are in mainly Shiite areas. But they are popular with both Shiites and Sunnis. Early reports put the death toll from both attacks at more than 50.” (update: the death toll is 64 and counting).

Couple this with the five troop deaths earlier in the week and, well . . . so much for Bush’s proclamations of a peaceful Iraq.

We’ll also review the political debates and races this week, and examine the possibility of a real economic downturn this year.

Car broke down, walked home in the rain. Light rain, less than a mile, s'ok I had a hood on. Local shop we deliver to is 3 doors down and they'll look at it tomorrow. Stealing car for work (kidding!)

Last year I bought a '92 Honda Civic VX.
EPA rating was 55/48 but this one's got 175K+ on it but runs like a top!
I'm getting solid 45 mpg on the highway, but I think I have a compression issue in one cylinder.
Plus it's cold so my local mpg is about 30-35.
Found a place where I can buy this VX engine rebuilt for about $400. Not bad!

and compare them to today's.
