I see them as having their family in tact, which matters most. The Von Trap Family waved goodbye and left the fascist country. They bowed out and they were free.

Just as I felt before, so sorry for anyone who will take over this mess left behind in the WH, in our country. I've found I liked him and his family so much (just as I did/do Gore's family), I almost didn't want to him to have to enter this cluster fuck. Al and now John, two really great, genuine people won't be subjected to this disease called America.

I feel sorry for us, because I believe they would've done everything they could to help this country; at the same time, happy for them because now they don't have to pay the tremendous price of self and family sacrifice.
