No, not so much.

I was shopping in a local store last week and the cashier was complaining about how the price of everything had gone up. I mentioned to her that it was the price of gas that had caused it and that 7 years ago the price of gas was roughly $1.15 a gallon. Her reply? It's a different world since 9/11. Yeah, the price of oil has nothing to do with the white house being full of oil men it's because of 9/11.
