Freeper Begs For Prayer & Fasting To Stop McCain
OMG.....they are really getting unhinged over there over McCain's victories, check it out,.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1963954/posts

Then,, be honest about yourself! Confess your sin! Talk to Him! Ask Him to heal this land! Pray for this election, our courts, our leaders!

Do you want to really be bold??! Want to really step out and say something crazy?? Proclaim things!!

Mark 11:23, "Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him."

Proclaim righteousness returns to our courts! Proclaim the the name of Jesus will be lifted up again in our congress! Speak to our schools that they will return to the foundation on which they were built! And speak to this election! That the more righteous man win!! Get radical in prayer!! Speak that our would so return to the Bible that all the nations of the earth would have to confess "Yes,, they left their God, but look! They have returned!! American is again a Christian nation!"

:silly:

8. They still do their daily prayer for Chimpy Bush?
I haven't checked, but that was always pretty creepy, too.

How about praying for the poor sons of bitches Chimpy's sent to die in Iraq? How about the doomed men, women and children who'll get blown apart by sectarian violence brought on by Chimpy's Excellent Adventure?

Filthy, hypocritical fuckers.

This is NOT A CHRISTIAN NATION. I am a veteran and any religious zealot who says otherwise fucks with our constitution making you a domestic enemy of said document. And that pisses people like me off to no end. If you want to live in a theocracy leave. Now. This is the land of the free. Not the land of religious morons.

"Now. This is the land of the free. Not the land of religious morons."

What sort of religion comments are allowed here without becoming a domestic enemy of the US? You do realize the founders of this country were for the most part very religious and intended to protect religious practices from government interference (look at the religious persecution some segments of the colonies were trying to get away from), and to prevent formation of a state religion/church (such as in england).

"I am a veteran and any religious zealot who says otherwise fucks with our constitution making you a domestic enemy of said document"

Check amendment 1 of the constitution you are assigning enemies to. A religious zealot can say whatever they want, just like you can.

27. oh bull
Most of the founders were atheists or deists; George Washington couldn't even be bothered to go to church regularly, and Ben Franklin thought religious people were all fools. So you're wrong there.

Secondly, who cares what the Founders believed in? They're all dead, and America is about more than ghoulishly trying to recreate the society of a bunch of guys who died 200 years ago. Get with the times.

35. Welcome aboard....hope we can help enlighten you on our founding fathers
and their ideas about religion....it does not comport with what Pat Robertson and the political religious right want 's the average American to believe.

Here is what our Founding Fathers wrote about Bible-based Christianity:

Thomas Jefferson:
I have examined all the known superstitions of the world, and I do not find in our particular superstition of Christianity one redeeming feature. They are all alike founded on fables and mythology. Millions of innocent men, women and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined and imprisoned. What has been the effect of this coercion? To make one half the world fools and the other half hypocrites; to support roguery and error all over the earth.
SIX HISTORIC AMERICANS,
by John E. Remsburg, letter to William Short

Jefferson again:
Christianity...(has become) the most perverted system that ever shone on man. ...Rogueries, absurdities and untruths were perpetrated upon the teachings of Jesus by a large band of dupes and importers led by Paul, the first great corrupter of the teaching of Jesus.

More Jefferson:
The clergy converted the simple teachings of Jesus into an engine for enslaving mankind and adulterated by artificial constructions into a contrivance to filch wealth and power to themselves...these clergy, in fact, constitute the real Anti-Christ.

Jefferson's word for the Bible?
Dunghill.

John Adams:

Where do we find a precept in the Bible for Creeds, Confessions, Doctrines and Oaths, and whole carloads of other trumpery that we find religion encumbered with in these days?

Also Adams:
The doctrine of the divinity of Jesus is made a convenient cover for absurdity.
Adams signed the Treaty of Tripoli. Article 11 states:

The Government of the United States is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion.

Here's Thomas Paine:

I would not dare to so dishonor my Creator God by attaching His name to that book (the Bible).

Among the most detestable villains in history, you could not find one worse than Moses. Here is an order, attributed to 'God' to butcher the boys, to massacre the mothers and to debauch and rape the daughters. I would not dare so dishonor my Creator's name by (attaching) it to this filthy book (the Bible).

It is the duty of every true Deist to vindicate the moral justice of God against the evils of the Bible.

Accustom a people to believe that priests and clergy can forgive sins...and you will have sins in abundance.

The Christian church has set up a religion of pomp and revenue in pretended imitation of a person (Jesus) who lived a life of poverty. Sound familiar? Same as it ever was.

Finally let's hear from James Madison:

What influence in fact have Christian ecclesiastical establishments had on civil society? In many instances they have been upholding the thrones of political tyranny. In no instance have they been seen as the guardians of the liberties of the people. Rulers who wished to subvert the public liberty have found in the clergy convenient auxiliaries. A just government, instituted to secure and perpetuate liberty, does not need the clergy.

Madison objected to state-supported chaplains in Congress and to the exemption of churches from taxation. He wrote:

Religion and government will both exist in greater purity, the less they are mixed together.

These founding fathers were a reflection of the American population. Having escaped from the state-established religions of Europe, only 7% of the people in the 13 colonies belonged to a church when the Declaration of Independence was signed.

38. I'm SO with Thomas Paine on this!
They didn't leave Jesus out of our founding documents by mistake.....they knew that RELIGION AND GOVERNMENT CORRUPT EACH OTHER. Give to Caesar what is Caesar's, he was not talking SALAD!

Our government would NOT have flourished if it was Jesusland. All theocracies suck, Xtian, Muslim whatever. Whenever the governmnet gets its hand in religion it sucks. Every time.

29. Jesus turns into a different guy
in the first chapter of Acts. A book contrived by the early church. Getting nailed to the cross and rising from the dead must have made him a little more proactive. When taken by themselves the words of Jesus contradict most things that the evangelical movement holds dear.
