Thought experiment. What if the 2000 Election had been stolen
from a black man? Business as usual the next day?

1. Maybe not. Maybe the groups that are forced to the edges
with their struggle would have the advantage of not being co-opted by the Beltway.

2. Well, it was business as usual
After the election was stolen from a white man, so what point are you trying to make? That black wouldn't sit for this and whites do?

In 2004, Ohio had disenfranchisement that was just as wrong as the disenfranchisement that occurred in Florida in 2000. I just want to point out that blacks spoke about that as they did in 2000. Leaders like Cynthia McKinney and Barbara Boxer and Dennis Kucinich brought attention to the subject...

Obama stood silent. He did not challenge the official electoral ballot count.

So, if election fraud occurs and he loses, well, it will be his fault. He should have been working harder to reform elections in 2004.

18. Obviously nothing meaningful
Because thousands of blacks are still upset with being disenfranchised.

4. Fairly Ridiculous Question You've Got There.
Not even sure what could've possibly motivated it.

8. You caused me to think. A better question would have been:

"Would the Supremes have stolen an election from a black man given the way that would look to the world? Is Thomas's head so far up Scalia's ass he wouldn't have noticed what they'd be doing?"

No offense, but the Giants' coach is a prick. Let him try to kick a goddamn field goal when it's blow zero.

12. I Still Think The Answer Is Quite Clear.
It wasn't about who they wanted to keep out of the office, it was about who they wanted to be in. The specific attributes of the candidate victimized by the theft is irrelevant.

And as an aside; all NFL coaches are pricks, are they not?

13. God, the NFL coach hating gets so tiresome. It really is quite stupid.
there's not A thing wrong with being an NFL coach and the bigotry displayed here towards them isn't something to be honored. The concept of this reply is all sorts of stupid.

Do you not realize how absolutely stupid such comments make you look? Utter ridiculousness. Hate is hate, and hate is stupid.

17. Oh, Christ, now there is bigotry against NFL coaches? I don't
give a damn about the NFL and certainly don't hate anybody in it. It means little more to me than professional figure skating. See, now there I go with that figure skating bigotry.

Can I still hate Bush here while he is watching the game, or must I stop until it's over? Sheesh.

14. I am not sure that is the case. Regarding your aside, I don't
watch enough NFL to know, but if they are all pricks, they are rich ones.

9. No
Business as usual that very same day.

whichever of the approved candidates we finally are allowed to choose, they will run
a racist, sexist gauntlet, and the first fuck up, and it will be 'move-along, nothing to see here'
and the 2008 pretzeldent will be chosen.

issued their decision in the dead of night.
