Amazingly it's not a joke, ABC is running a 90 minute special on a two year old murder

Unreal, television really does go for the very bottom of society. So America really cares about whether someone did or didn't kill or kidnap or whatever happened to this person. This is what is pressing enough for a 90 minute news special? With everything going on in the world this is what Americans care about and want to watch?

If the network is correct and this is what the majority of Americans are concerned with then collectively we are f**ked up human beings in this country.

18. Every so often I hear this person's name on the news.

I always wonder why it is that this particular murder (or whatever happened) is supposed to be so significant and fascinating.

There are hundreds of people murdered every year, all of them senseless and all of them were human beings with lives, families, dreams, pains, histories.

But for some reason, we're just supposed to be FASCINATED with Laci Peterson, Natalee Holloway (do any women spell their first names the traditional way anymore?)
